Since one or two weeks I cant download stuff from datafile with Firefox. On some files it directly blocks the download and shows me a window with that text

"Als Seite mit unerwünschter Software gemeldet!

Die Website auf n73.datafile.com wurde als Seite gemeldet, welche unerwünschte Software enthält, und wurde auf Grund Ihrer Sicherheitseinstellungen blockiert."

Translation: Website was reportet, as site with undesirable software, and blocked because your safetyoptions.

I dont know how to chance that options. Its just datafile, other hosters work perfectly.




But sometimes it dont show that window and start downloading the file. But everytime the download failes when 99%/100% is downloaded somehow.



I could try it with IE but am sceptical. Are there any rumors that datafile has security issues since some weeks?

    Most likely a false positive with Firefox.  I've seen that error from time to time on other sites as well and it's always been a FF issue.

    Well...seems that I cant download all these files, since IE downloadung mit 6KB/s and I dont want to install a new browser just for DF.  Undecided

    Well...old JDownloader cant use DF because of plugin error and new JDownloader downloading with about 9KB/s too. 5hrs for 160MB? Um...no.  Roll Eyes


    It really seems, like datafile has some issues. I hoped here for someone who could tell me if its just me r everyone.

    The few times that I've tried using Datafiles it was way too slow so I don't even try any more.

    Having said that, there should be no speed difference between JDownloader and a browser.  None that I've seen anyway.  The original JD is no longer supported, so you should be using JD2.  Likely something in how you have it configured.

    There are other options as well, such as Internet Download Manager (IDM).  But I've only ever used JD.

    yeah, i used to use IDM but now i usually have it set up so IDM doesn't automatically pop up & only use EagleGet now since iDM pro version always seems to go bad quickly & then get stuck with free & having issues finding a good working IDM Pro version again & EagleGet never have to deal with that, but every so often u find stream sites that don't take EagleGet & then i manually set up IDM again to dl some files for a while & then manually disable it again
