    Yes!  Toad sounds familiar.  I believe the lime sauce has been out for a while.  Probably tried it in a restaurant about 2 years ago. 

    I have to agree with you on the not needing every thing to be spicy.

    The taste is interesting. Nothing more, nothing less.
     
    But I think hot sauce belongs primarily to zesty/savory dishes.


    Did you or saulprawn (seems to be that we are the hottest SAFF members Wink)
     had a problem with a hot sauce that went bad?

    I thought Tobasco did that on purpose.  Seemed to think that old and musty was a positive quality for a sauce.   lmao

    I have had some that sat to long and turned to a bad color.  Always one I didn't like of course.  I just toss them.

    I wanted to try one of the few chocolate habanero hot sauces. Unfortunately it wasn't good.
    As I opened it the sauce started to bubble over.  Embarrassed

    Definitely spoiled.  No I haven't experienced that.  Reminds me of avoiding dented cans for fear of a little air getting in.   Botulism.

    The problem with the better tasting sauces is that they tend to push the limits of what is safe.  Tobasco can't go bad because it is all vinegar.  I tend to refrigerate all of the other sauces.

    I want a good tasting sauce.  You can't have that with to much heat.  Habs give a strong distinctive flavor and aroma.  But you really need to take out the ribs and seeds to be able to put in enough peppers to benefit from it.

    As for fire in the hole, why worry about it?  That happens on a different day.  Live in the now.   Let tomorrow take care of itself.   lmao

    That's not a hot sauce it's an extract (food additive).
    There is an "nice" warning notice on that bottle.

    It's better dosed by a toothpick otherwise you may ruin your meal.

    Check out "Da Bomb" I had a bottle and it lasted quite a while. Very tasty and HOT. It's in the "tooth pick" application class of hot sauce.
