    Ok, so now that megaupload is down, what hosting should we be pointing people towards?

    So far, in my experimenting, this is what I think:

    - Depositfiles sucks - slow, both on upload and download
    - oron.com sucks - even registered, I have a 45 minute wait between downloads (and that sucks HARD)
    - uploading.com - apparently there's a daily download cap
    - rapidshare - downloading is ok, but like with megaupload, I can't upload to it (the command to "upload" does not actually do anything for me (I think this is a brower or flash issue or something, which may be just me, but still . . .)

    I've tried 4shared (not too bad) and uploadking (also not bad, but had access issues of late).

    Any other thoughts on this?  Getting a reliable, useful host will be a big deal in coming weeks, methinks.

    rapidshare is the best after megaupload. Most users shoud use it. I also agree with you that oron and deposit files are toooooo slowly.

    I just tried 4shared too, for some of your reups.  I found them to be pretty good, actually.  I think I will be using them for the time being.

    There is sendspace. I use to use years ago until I started to use Megaupload (Now it's gone sadly) and stopped using it. It was fast for me to upload and download files but the problem that I had with it was that if someone didn't download a file that was from sendspace for over three months If I remember, it would be deleated. I used Megaupload because it never does that. I'm not sure if sendspace today has changed it three months rule or not but I may check it out again.
